Baby Sutton and Cody!

Ame's baby girl is here! Sutton was born on April 1st! Ame had a tough labor and was such a trooper. Sutton is perfect! Lindsey came in town to meet her new "niece" and stayed with me. We had a great time, even though it was a quick visit. Here are a few quick pics!

Another HUGE praise, my cousin Cody's cancer is responding to the chemo. The tumors they saw on his lungs a few weeks ago are now gone! You can read the latest post on www.caringbridge.org/codynovak. We are SO excited and so grateful!!!!

Spring!!!!!!!!!

I've decided not to try to catch up with the past 3 months that I haven't blogged! Mom and I took the girls to the Dallas Arboretum last Friday. It was GORGEOUS weather and the flowers were beautiful! Here are few pics...

Ryan met the girls and I for lunch at a pond near our house for a picnic lunch last week. It was really nice. The girls loved seeing the ducks, and I felt like we were really able to enjoy the spring weather.

Here are a few funny pics from Honey and Hoss's house. The girls had a tea part with Lolo (Hillary) and Honey. They also decided to play in the Ikea storage boxes rather than cleaning up!

Both girls are doing swimming lessons. I have to get in with Anna Kate, which is NOT my favorite part of the week, but they are really catching on. AK has NO fear, which terrifies me, so I guess I have to keep her in lessons until she REALLY can swim. Taylor is pretty reluctant to put her face in the water, but overall, she likes lessons.

The first three months of 2009

I changed my mind! I forgot I had started a blog entry that I never posted. Here it is!
Taylor's 3rd Birthday was February 16th. We had a gymnastics party, which she loved!!! Here are a few pictures.

When I asked Taylor what she wanted to do for her 3rd birthday, she told me she wanted painted nails. SO, my dream has finally come true! I offically have a girly girl! I took her to get her first manicure on her actual birthday.

Anna Kate is 19 months now, and she has really grown up. She's talking so much, and loves playing like a "big girl" with Taylor.

Christmas

WOW! So much to write about! I think this was one of the happiest Christmases I can remember. The girls brought so much fun and joy to the season.

Our Christmas began by an early celebration with the Perrys. Blaire, Caleb and Eli came thru town in their way to Louisiana. Eli is absolutely precious. We had so much fun with them. I wish we saw them more often!

To be funny, I got Taylor a John Deere toolbelt b/c she loves to "work" in the garage with Ryan. I had no idea she would love it so much!!!

Our next Christmas celebration was with my side b/c Aaron and Hillary spent Christmas in San Antonio this year. We had a blast! Everyone spent the night with Mom & Dad, and the next day all the big and little girls watched a movie in our pjs.
Anna Kate and Taylor got a Cabbage Patch dolls from Honey and Hoss. Can you believe those are back? Memories!!!

Hillary has had concerns that she and Anna Kate needed to "bond" more. Well, they definitely did! Here is AK with her new BFF.

Next, we went to the Christmas Eve candlelight service at Prestonwood. This is easily one of my favorite things in life! There is nothing more beautiful to me, which is why I chose to have a candlelighting ceremony in our wedding. This year was very special b/c Taylor was old enough to come to "big church" with us for the first time. Here is a picture of her and Ryan listening to the children's sermon (you can see them if you look closely).

Afterwards, we had Mexican food with the Hulse family. So yummy!

Then, the big moment... SANTA! Taylor wanted Santa to bring her Hungry Hungry Hippos.

The girls also got an easle and chalkboard from Santa. Unfortunately, Anna Kate is Taylor's latest canvas!

Christmas morning we had all the grandparents over for breakfast. This is our own tradition for just our family, and I love it! The girls get to show off all of their new toys, and it's just a neat time for us to celebrate in our own home!

Last but not least, Mom and Dad had the big family over for Christmas lunch. It was delicious. It was a very busy Christmas, but we are so blessed to have so much family to celebrate with!

Thanksgiving & Girl's trip to Chicago

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Since both of our families live in Dallas, we got to have TWO Thanksgiving meals again this year! Here is a picture from my family's get together at Aunt Kim & Uncle Kirk's.

After lunch Papa Joe read the girls some books. They both love to have Papa Joe read stories to them.

Anna Kate had a rough morning! She fell and hit her head on the coffee table at Nana & Papa Joe's. Here is her sad little boo boo. Luckily, we didn't need stitches!

Here are two pictures of the girls eating pizza the day after Thanksgiving. It looks like they're much interested in the Ranch dressing than the actual pizza!.

A couple of weekends ago, Ryan kept the girls so I could go to Chicago for the weekend with Ame & Lindsey. Here's two pictures from our trip. We had a blast shopping, eating & just being together! We stayed at the W, shopped (ALOT), had tea at the Drake Hotel, ate at Japonais and Le Colonial, and visited Millenium Park and the Bean.

Pumpkin carving, pumpkin patch photo shoot and Baylor Homecoming

I haven't posted these sweet pictures of Ryan carving a pumpkin with the girls. They are so crazy about him, and he is the BEST daddy! Here are a few cutes ones...

We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago with Scarlett, Bowden and Pierce. We tried really hard to get a cute one of all four of them. This was our best result. I figure that two out of four kids looking and smiling at the camera isn't that bad!

Anna Kate is thoroughly enjoying herself!

I had to post this b/c it is a rare picture of Taylor actually smiling!

The girls and I went to Baylor Homecoming with Mom & Dad again this year. It is so much work to take both of them to the parade and the game, but I love doing it. The girls looked so cute in their Baylor cheerleading uniforms!

One last sweet and funny story... Taylor has learned to say the Lord's Prayer at school. It is the most wonderful thing to hear her sweet voice recite the entire prayer! I hope that she continues to memorize scripture as she grows up. But, the cutest part is at the end. She says "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, adn the glory, forever. Amen. Here's your snack!" It is very obvious that her teachers have them recite the prayer before they give them their morning snack. Too funny!
